Welcome to the Lions Club of Leominster website and hope that you find it both enjoyable and informative. The club is part of the International Association of Lions Clubs whose charitable arm, Lions Clubs International Foundation’ in 2008 was voted the world’s best Non Governmental Organisation. The ideals of the foundation are to assist Lions Clubs to make a greater impact in their local communities as well as throughout the world by providing humanitarian aid to ease pain and suffering and to bring healing and hope to people worldwide.

 

The Lions of Leominster through its public collections and activities assist the less well off in our community. No matter how much we do achieve the club is fully aware that, if only our financial resources were greater, we could contribute more in our constant battle to improve people’s lives. The more recent contributions have been given to the provision of a motorised beach buggy for a severely handicapped local person, regular donations to the Marches Family Network, smaller donations towards the Railway Children and Eye Camps to name but a few.

 

If you would like to be a part of our team and can give a little of your time, I can promise you that the rewards you will get more than compensate. Many Lions members have ‘Magic Moments’, one of mine was in Bosnia where Lions funding had paid for incubators in the rebuilt hospital wards in hospitals destroyed in the Balkans War – the joy on the mothers’ faces produced a lump in your throat and brought tears to your eyes.
