Santa’s Grotto commencing 3 December for three weekends at Festive Farm.  Mr Colin Griffith of Dinmore Christmas Trees, has once again invited us to join him.

Welcome to our website. Lions have a club in Leominster for 33 years and during that time we have contributed to numerous local, national and international worthy causes. A regular recipient locally is the Marches Family Network, partly through our popular Easter Egg Draw held by kind permission of local businesses.

Our International President has set the following challenges for his 2011/12 year of office.

Engaging our Youth. Lions Clubs International are partnered with UNICEF and the club intends to engage with local schools to promote UNICEF’s ‘School in a Box’. This project helps with providing the basic materials to run a school in areas of the world that have been struck with disaster and poverty.

Sharing the Vision. In honour of Helen Keller Lions contribute towards projects to assist the visually impaired. This ranges from enabling recycling of spectacles to raising funds for eyecamps. On October 22nd 2011 at the British Legion Club we held a World Sight Day Event together with a Diabetes Clinic. We are indebted to Specsavers and Lloyds Pharmacy for their help.

Relieving the Hunger. Lions help wherever there is hunger, whether it is a temporary measure in disaster zones to more publicised famines through drought.

Protecting the Environment. Our aim is to plant a million trees throughout the world. Leominster Lions aim to support this aim locally, details being worked out.
